Celebrating the 91st Anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930 – October 20, 2021)

On the occasion of the 91st anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930 – October 20, 2021), in order to honor the role of women, the Center for Sea Survey and Mapping organized a meeting with cadres and female workers in the northern region of Vietnam.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Duong Quoc Luong – Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Seamap, Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Center, Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Chief of the Seamap Office and President of the Trade Union and leaders of the Divisions and Survey Units of the Center.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Duong Quoc Luong, on behalf of all officers, employees of the Center, gave thanks to the female officers and employees for their contributions to the Center and appreciated the efforts and achievements that women have achieved in their work. Along with meaningful gifts, Comrade wished the cadres, civil servants and female workers always deserve to be dynamic women who are good at national and home chores.

With the affection, care and congratulations received, Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong – Vice President of the Trade Union on behalf of the Women expressed her excitement, emotion and thanked the Board of Directors and the entire Center. She believes that this is really a great source of encouragement, a motivation to help women better complete the tasks assigned to them at the Center and at the same time to perform excellently role in family and society.

Also during the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh, Deputy Director, Head of the Center’s Committee for the Advancement of Women added: The Center’s Committee for the Advancement of Women will continue to accompany them and is the firm support, grasping the practical aspirations of women. From there, the Board will propose to the Center’s leaders, combine with other mass organizations to organize activities to take care of the material and spiritual life, and have solutions to foster and train employees. women improve their capacity and professional qualifications, and at the same time actively propagate to raise awareness of gender equality in the working environment as well as in each person’s family. He believed that the female cadres and workers in the Center would always maintain the spirit of solidarity at work, demonstrate their capacity, and play an increasingly important role in production activities, promote the tradition of suffering and hard work of Vietnamese women. 

 

In the context of the existing COVID-19 Pandemic, there were still complicated developments, the meeting took place neatly but still kept the solemn, joyful and cozy atmosphere, showing the respect and deep concern of the whole community, Center for Survey and Mapping as well as society for women.
